
Salads shouldn’t be boring, they should be full of colour and taste. Try my crunchy sweet and sour salad for a fresh take. It’s jammers with crispy flavours and tasty goodness.
Sweet and Sour Salad
Delicious fresh brunch snack or to be enjoyed as a side to your mains.
Ingredients
- 2 Cup Spinach
- 2 Cup Lambs lettuce
- 1/2 Cup Cherry tomatoes
- 1/2 Cup Sweet red pepper
- 1 Cup Grated carrot
- 1 Cup Pickled beetroot
- 1/2 Cup Chopped cucumber
- 1/2 Cup Chopped celery
- 1 Cup Fresh organic apples Or pink lady apples
- 2 Tbsp Spring onions
- 2 Tbsp Chopped coriander
Dressing
- 1 Tsp Olive oil
- 1 Tsp White vinegar Or lemon juice
- 2 Tsp Maple syrup
- 1 Tsp Mustard
- 1/2 Tsp Salt
- 1/4 Tsp Cayenne pepper
Instructions
- The method is simple. Follow the video below for how I prepare.Simply chop all your fresh veg and through into a large salad bowl. I love mixing greens with fresh fruit and pickles as it teases the tongue with an abundance of flavours.The dressing is simple, just add ingredients to a little jug, mix and pour over your salad.Since there is already a lot going on flavour wise, I don’t overdo it with the dressing. Just keep it simple to add an extra kick of flavour.
